Removable inkjet printer cartridge
View Patent ↗An inkjet printer cartridge including, a body including, a printing fluid storage, and a printhead including at least 20,000 printing fluid delivery nozzles in fluid communication with the printing fluid storage.
1. An inkjet printer comprising:
an inkjet printer cartridge, said cartridge having a body comprising:
a printing fluid storage for separately storing a set of colored inks,
a full color pagewidth printhead including at least 20,000 printing fluid delivery nozzles in fluid communication with the printing fluid storage, and
a rotor element rotatably mounted adjacent and parallel to said printhead for maintaining proper printhead functioning, said rotor element comprising a platen face and a capping face; and
a cradle having a recess for receiving said inkjet printer cartridge, said cradle comprising a motor for driving said rotor element,
wherein said cartridge is configured to be replaceably receivable in said recess so that, when mated together, said motor is mechanically coupled to said rotor element, and said cartridge and said cradle together form said inkjet printer.
2. A printer according to claim 1 , wherein the printhead includes at least 30,000 printing fluid delivery nozzles in fluid communication with the printing fluid storage.
3. A printer according to claim 1 , wherein the printing fluid storage comprises a collapsible membrane, said membrane defining a plurality of storage reservoirs for separately storing the inks.
4. A printer according to claim 1 , wherein the printing fluid storage is for further storing an ink fixative for facilitating fixing of ink following delivery by said fluid delivery nozzles.
5. A printer according to claim 1 , wherein printing fluid storage is for further storing an infrared ink.
