Abstract

Disclosed are multibinding compounds which are β2-adrenergic receptor agonists and are useful in the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis. They are also useful in the treatment of nervous system injury and premature labor.

Claims (11)

1. A compound selected from the group consisting of:

and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

2. The compound of claim 1 wherein the compound is a compound of formula (1C).

3. The compound of claim 1 wherein the compound is a compound of formula (2C).

4. The compound of claim 1 wherein the compound is a compound of formula (3C).

5. The compound of claim 1 wherein the compound is a compound of formula (4C).

6. The compound of claim 1 wherein the compound is a compound of formula (5C).

7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 .

8. A method of treating a disease or condition in a mammal wherein the disease or condition is selected from the group consisting of asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, nervous system injury, and premature labor, the method comprising administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 .

9. The method of claim 8 wherein the disease or condition is asthma or chronic bronchitis.

10. The method of claim 8 wherein the disease or condition is asthma.
