Abstract

The purification and isolation of various genes which encode mammalian cell surface polypeptides. Nucleic acids, proteins, antibodies, and other reagents useful in modulating development of cells, e.g., lymphoid and myeloid, are provided, along with methods for their use.

Claims (20)

1. An isolated or recombinant binding compound comprising an antigen binding portion from an antibody, which specifically binds to a DAP12 polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 or 6.

2. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the antigen binding portion of the antibody is a single chain antibody.

3. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is a polyclonal antibody.

4. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is a monoclonal antibody.

5. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is a humanized antibody.

6. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is a chimeric antibody.

7. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound specifically binds to residues-1-87 of SEQ ID NO:2 or 1-88 of SEQ ID NO:6.

8. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound specifically binds to residues-2-87 of SEQ ID NO: 2 or 2-88 of SEQ ID NO: 6.

9. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound has a Kd of at least 30 μM.

10. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound has a Kd of at least 30 mM.

11. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound has a Kd of at least 30 pM.

12. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is detectably labeled.

13. The binding compound of claim 12 , wherein the detectable label is selected from the group consisting of a radioactive label and a fluorescent label.

14. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound is coupled to a radionuclide.

15. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound specifically binds to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 or 6 in association with CD94/NKG2C.

16. The binding compound of claim 1 , wherein the binding compound specifically binds to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 or 6 in association with MDL-1.

17. A kit comprising the binding compound of claim 1 and:

a) a compartment comprising the binding compound; and

b) instructions for use or disposal of reagents in the kit.

18. A composition comprising the binding compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
