Abstract

A system for perfusion management that monitors, maintains, diagnoses, or treats perfusion deficiencies.

Claims (62)

1. A device implantable fully in vivo between one or more periods of usage comprising:

at least one reservoir;

at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location;

at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes;

one or more tools; and

circuitry configured for controlling the at least one extensible conduit, the one or more openable and closable portholes, and the one or more tools.

2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one flexible extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location.

3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one retractably extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location.

4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one telescopically extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location.

5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one steerable extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location.

6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location, the at least one extensible conduit decreasing in diameter lengthwise.

7. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location comprises:

at least one extensible conduit in fluid communication with the at least one reservoir and configured for delivering one or more receivables from the at least one reservoir to at least one bodily location, the at least one extensible conduit composed of a plurality of sliding parts.

8. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes comprises:

at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes, at least one of the at least one array of sensors being deployable.

9. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes comprises:

at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes, at least one of the at least one array of sensors being retractable.

10. The device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes comprises:

at least one array of sensors positioned along a longitudinal length of the at least one extensible conduit at one or more openable and closable portholes, at least one of the at least one array of sensors operable to detect at least one of pressure, temperature, chemical, gas, electrolyte, flow, volume, composition, and/or concentration.

11. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more tools comprises:

one or more tools associated with the at least one extensible conduit.

12. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more tools comprises:

one or more porthole deployable tools.

13. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more tools comprises:

one or more tools including at least one of an ablation device, a laser, a vacuum, a siphon, an evacuation device, a fluid dispenser, a cauterizer, a stent, a tissue-liquefying device, a source of an electric charge, and/or a source of an electromagnetic charge.

14. The device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more tools comprises:

one or more multi-purpose tools.

15. The device of claim 1 , wherein the circuitry configured for controlling the at least one extensible conduit, the one or more openable and closable portholes, and the one or more tools comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling the at least one extensible conduit, the one or more openable and closable portholes, and the one or more tools in accordance with one or more program instructions.
