Abstract

Compositions and methods are disclosed which are useful of the treatment and prevention of proliferative disorders.

Claims (12)

1. A method for treating lung cancer, which comprises administering to a mammal a combination therapy comprising a dosage unit of Compound (1), having the formula,

or a pharmaceutically-acceptable hydrate, solvate, or geometric, optical or stereoisomer of Compound (1), and a dosage unit of at least a second chemotherapeutic agent comprising antibody C225, wherein the combination therapy will provide a greater anti-cancer effect than the effect obtainable with either the dosage unit of Compound (1) or the antibody C225 alone.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the cancer is refractory, resistant, and/or sensitive to taxane treatment.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody C225 is administered following the administration of Compound (1).

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the antibody C225 is administered before the administration of Compound (1).

5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the antibody C225 is administered substantially simultaneously with the administration of Compound (1).

6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the antibody C225 and the Compound (1) are both administered parenterally.

7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the cancer is non-small cell lung cancer.

8. A method for treating pancreatic cancer, which comprises administering to a mammal a combination therapy comprising a dosage unit of Compound (1), having the formula,

and/or a pharmaceutically-acceptable hydrate, solvate, and/or geometric, optical or stereoisomer of Compound (1), and a dosage unit of at least a second chemotherapeutic agent comprising antibody C225, wherein the combination therapy will provide a greater anti-cancer effect than the effect obtainable with either the dosage unit of Compound (1) or the antibody C225 alone.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the cancer is refractory, resistant, and/or sensitive to taxane treatment.

10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the cancer is refractory, resistant, and/or sensitive to taxane treatment.
