Abstract

Liquid formulations, including solutions and suspensions of the various drugs, agents and/or compounds, may be locally or regionally delivered for the treatment of vascular disease. In each of these instances, antioxidants are utilized to prolong product integrity.

Claims (6)

1. An aqueous formulation of a therapeutic agent comprising:

paclitaxel in a concentration of 1.25 mg/ml;

3.75 percent vitamin E d-alpha tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate (Vitamin E TPGS);

0.5 percent ethanol;

25 percent poly(ethylene glycol) 400; and

70 percent water, the aqueous formulation comprising a stable solution for at least one of direct local or regional delivery into arterial tissue.
