Inbred corn line G0302
View Patent ↗Broadly this invention provides an invention which is inbred corn line G0302. The methods for producing a corn plant by crossing the inbred line G0302 are also encompassed by the invention. Additionally, the invention relates to the various parts of inbred G0302 including culturable cells. This invention relates to hybrid corn seeds and plants produced by crossing the inbred line G0302 with at least one other corn line.
1. Hybrid seed produced by a method comprising the following steps:
(a) planting seed of corn inbred line G0302, a representative sample of seed have been deposited under the ATCC accession number PTA-5971, and seed of another corn inbred line;
(b) cultivating corn plants resulting from said planting;
(c) allowing cross pollination to occur between plants of said inbred lines; and
(d) harvesting the resultant seed.
2. Hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant of inbred corn line designated G0302, a representative sample of seed have been deposited under the ATCC accession number PTA-5971, and a plant of another corn inbred line.
3. A hybrid plant produced by growing the seed of claim 2 .
4. A first generation (F1) hybrid corn plant produced by the process of:
(a) planting seed of corn inbred line G0302, a representative sample of seed have been deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-5971, and seed of another corn inbred line;
(b) cultivating corn plants resulting from said planting;
(c) allowing cross-pollination to occur between the plants of said inbred lines;
(d) harvesting the resultant seed; and
(e) growing the harvested seed to produce F1 hybrid plant.
5. A tissue culture of regenerable cells produced from a corn plant produced by growing the seed of claim 1 .
6. A tissue culture of regenerable cells produced from a corn plant produced by growing the seed of claim 2 .
7. The hybrid plant according to claim 3 , wherein the plant further comprises at least one transgene.
8. The first generation (F1) hybrid corn plant according to claim 4 , wherein the plant further comprises at least one transgene.
9. A first generation (F1) hybrid corn plant further comprising at least one transgene, said hybrid corn plant produced by crossing the hybrid plant of claim 8 and a plant of another inbred line.
10. The hybrid seed according to claim 2 , wherein the seed further comprises at least one mutant gene selected from the group consisting of: sugary 1 mutant gene, shrunken 1 mutant gene, waxy mutant gene, amylose extender (AE) mutant gene, and imazephapyr tolerant (IT) mutant gene.
11. A hybrid plant produced by growing the seed of claim 10 , wherein the plant further comprises the mutant gene.
