Magneto-optical storage medium capable of recording plural rows of marks on each track
View Patent ↗An optical disk recording method of recording data on an optical disk by applying laser light to a track of the optical disk, includes the steps of a) driving a plurality of laser light sources in sequence in a time division manner, and applying a light flux to one track of the optical disk successively, and b) producing a plurality of rows of record marks in the one track.
1. An optical recording medium on which data is recorded as a result of laser light being incident in a recording track and a magnetic field being generated therein,
wherein a first row of record marks is recorded in each track in such a manner that said record marks of said first row partially overlap one another along a direction parallel to said track,
wherein a second row of record marks is recorded in each track in such a manner that said record marks of said second row partially overlap one another along a direction parallel to said track, and
wherein said first row of record marks partially overlaps said second row of record marks.
2. The optical recording medium as claimed in claim 1 comprising a magneto-optical disk.
3. An optical recording medium having laser light applied to and a magnetic field generated to a recording track so as to have data recorded thereto, wherein a first row of record marks is formed in each track in such a manner that said record marks of said first row partially overlap one another along a direction parallel to said track, and
wherein a second row of record marks is formed in each track in such a manner that said record marks of said second row partially overlap one another along a direction parallel to said track, and
wherein said first row of record marks partially overlaps said second row of record marks.
