Polycarbonate substrates
Polycarbonate substrates having low concentration of defects are disclosed. The substrates are suitable for producing molded articles characterized by low cloudiness.

A process of making an article selected from the first group consisting of discs, motor-vehicle glazing, headlamp diffusers and sheets comprising obtaining a polycarbonate resin having a concentration of optically detectable surface defects that is fewer than 250 defects per m 2 , measured on an extruded film of 200 μm in thickness and forming the article by a process selected from the second group consisting of injection molding, extrusion and extrusion blow molding.
10 . The process of claim 9 wherein the concentration is fewer than 150 defects per m 2 .
