Process for preparing imidazoquinolinamines
View Patent ↗A process for preparing 1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-4-amines is disclosed. The process involves reacting a 6H-imidazo[4,5-c]tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline with triphenylphosphine and hydrolyzing the product thereof.
1. A compound of Formula VI
wherein R 1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of one to about six carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl wherein the alkyl moiety contains one to about 6 carbon atoms, and arylalkyl wherein the alkyl moiety contains one to about three carbon atoms; R 2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of one to about four carbon atoms, alkoxyalkyl wherein the alkoxy moiety contains one to about four carbon atoms and the alkyl moiety contains one to about four carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl wherein the alkyl moiety contains one to about four carbon atoms, haloalkyl wherein the alkyl moiety contains one to about four carbon atoms, and aiyloxymethyl; and R is hvdrogen.
2. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, 2-methylpropyl, 2-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl, benzyl and phenylethyl.
3. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, ethoxymethyl, and benzyl.
4. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is 2-methyipropyl, and R 2 is hydrogen.
5. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is hydrogen, and R 2 is hydrogen.
