Abstract

The invention relates to heterocyclically substituted 7-amino-4-quinolone-3-carboxylic acid derivatives and to the physiologically tolerated salts and physiologically functional derivatives thereof. The invention relates to compounds of the formula I in which the radicals have the stated meanings, and to the physiologically tolerated salts thereof. The compounds are suitable for example as medicaments for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Claims (46)

1. A compound of the formula I

in which the meanings are

R1 is OH or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R2 is H or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R3 is (C 1 -C 8 )-alkyl, (C 3 -C 7 )-cycloalkyl or benzyl;

X is N;

R4 is H, (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R5 is H, F, Cl, Br, CF 3 or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R6 is H;

R7 is H or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R8 is pyridine, thiazole, pyrazine, pyrimidine or pyrrole;

and the physiologically tolerated salts thereof.

2. The compound of claim 1 wherein

R1 is OH or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R2 is H;

R3 is (C 1 -C 8 )-alkyl, (C 3 -C 7 )-cycloalkyl or benzyl;

X is N;

R4 is H, (C 1 -C 8 )-alkyl or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R5 is H, F, Cl, Br, CF 3 or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R6 is H;

R7 is H;

R8 is pyridine, thiazole, pyrazine, pyrimidine or pyrrole;

and the physiologically tolerated salts thereof.

3. The compound of claim 1 wherein

R1 is OH or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R2 is H;

R3 is (C 1 -C 8 )-alkyl, (C 3 -C 7 )-cycloalkyl or benzyl;

X is N;

R4 is H, (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R5 is H, F, Cl, Br, CF 3 , or —(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R6 is H;

R7 is H;

R8 is pyridine, thiazole, pyrazine, pyrimidine or pyrrole;

and the physiologically tolerated salts thereof.

4. The compound of claim 1 wherein

R1 is OH, O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R2 is H;

R3 is (C 1 -C 8 )-alkyl, (C 3 -C 7 )-cycloalkyl or benzyl;

X is N;

R4 is H, (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl or O—(C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R5 is H, F, Cl, Br, CF 3 , or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl;

R6 is H;

R7 is H;

R8 is pyridine, thiazole, pyrazine, pyrimidine or pyrrole;

and the physiologically tolerated salts thereof.

5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising one or more compounds of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
