Service oriented architecture for an extract function in a data integration platform
An extraction function of an extract-transform-load data integration process is deployed as a service in a services oriented architecture.
1 . A method, comprising:
providing a module for a data integration platform, the module being a data extraction module;
providing a registry of services;
providing an interface for the data extraction module; and
identifying the data extraction module in the registry;
wherein the data extraction module can be accessed as a service in a services oriented architecture.
2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a data transformation module to perform a data transformation function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
3 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a data integration module to perform a data integration function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
4 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a load module to perform a loading function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
5 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a metadata module to perform a metadata management function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
6 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a data profiling module to perform a data profiling function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
7 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a second data mapping module to perform a mapping function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
8 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a data quality module to perform a data quality function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
9 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a data cleansing module to perform a data cleansing function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
10 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing an atomic data repository management module to perform an atomic data repository function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
11 . A system, comprising:
a module for a data integration function;
a registry of services; and
an interface for the module;
wherein the module is identified in the registry;
wherein the module can be accessed as a service in a services oriented architecture; and
wherein the service is a data extraction service.
12 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a data transformation module to perform a data transformation function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
13 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a data integration module to perform a data integration function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
14 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a load module to perform a loading function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
15 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a metadata module to perform a metadata management function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
16 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a data profiling module to perform a data profiling function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
17 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a second data mapping module to perform a mapping function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
18 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a data quality module to perform a data quality function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
19 . The system of claim 11 further comprising a data cleansing module to perform a data cleansing function on data extracted by the data extraction module.
