Abstract

A client-side interface provides access to real time data integration jobs deployed as services in a services oriented architecture.

Claims (29)

1 . A method, comprising:

providing a code module for executing a data integration job;

providing a registry of services;

identifying the code module in the registry of services; and

facilitating access to the code module as a job from the registry of services via a services oriented architecture, wherein facilitating access includes providing a program deployed on a client device that allows the client device to access the job in a manner that is dependent on at least one characteristic of the client device.

2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the job comprises an extraction job.

3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the job comprises a data transformation job.

4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the job comprises a loading job.

5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the job comprises a metadata management job.

6 . The method of claim 1 wherein the characteristic of the client device is an operating system used by the client device.

7 . The method of claim 1 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a presence of an application running on the client device.

8 . The method of claim 1 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a connection speed of the client device.

9 . The method of claim 1 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a processing speed of the client device.

10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a memory of the client device.

11 . A system, comprising:

a code module for executing a data integration job; and

a registry of services;

wherein the code module is identified in the registry of services; and

wherein access to the code module is facilitated by a job from the registry of services via a services oriented architecture, wherein facilitating access includes providing a program deployed on a client device that allows the client device to access the job in a manner that is dependent on at least one characteristic of the client device.

12 . The system of claim 11 wherein the job comprises an extraction job.

13 . The system of claim 11 wherein the job comprises a data transformation job.

14 . The system of claim 11 wherein the job comprises a loading job.

15 . The system of claim 11 wherein the job comprises a metadata management job.

16 . The system of claim 11 wherein the characteristic of the client device is an operating system used by the client device.

17 . The system of claim 11 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a presence of an application running on the client device.

18 . The system of claim 11 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a connection speed of the client device.

19 . The system of claim 11 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a processing speed of the client device.

20 . The system of claim 11 wherein the characteristic of the client device is a memory of the client device.
