Abstract

Nucleic acids encoding mammalian, e.g., primate or rodent, genes, purified proteins and fragments thereof. Antibodies, both polyclonal and monoclonal, are also provided. Methods of using the compositions for both diagnostic and therapeutic utilities are provided.

Claims (16)

1. An isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, which specifically binds to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 13 or 53.

2. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is a Fv, Fab, or Fab 2 fragment.

3. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is conjugated to another chemical moiety.

4. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is generated using the recombinant polypeptide of SEQ ID NO; 13 or 53.

5. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is: a) is a polyclonal antibody; b) a monoclonal antibody; c) a humanized antibody; or d) a chimeric antibody.

6. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, binds to a denatured polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 13 or 53.

7. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, exhibits a K d to a polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 13 or 53 of at least 30 μM.

8. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is attached to a solid substrate.

9. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said substrate is a bead or plastic membrane.

10. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is detectably labeled.

11. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said label is a radioactive or fluorescent label.

12. A method of producing the isolated antibody or antigen binding compound thereof of claim 1 , comprising the immunizing a mammalian host with said polypeptide.

13. The isolated antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein said antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, is in a sterile composition.

14. A composition comprising the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, of claim 1 , and a carrier.

15. The composition of claim 14 , wherein said carrier is an aqueous compound is water, saline, or buffer.

16. The composition of claim 14 , wherein said carrier is formulated for oral, rectal, nasal, topical, or parenteral administration.
