Lactic acid bacteria with immunoregulating activities
View Patent ↗The invention provides novel lactic acid bacteria having immunoregulating activities and usable in food and drinks, medicaments, and other applications. Specifically, the invention provides novel lactic acid bacteria separated from “Shibazuke,” one kind of traditional Kyoto pickles, and having immunoregulating activities. The lactic acid bacteria of the present invention belong to Lactobacillus pentosus.
1. A biologically pure Lactobacillus pentosus S-PT84 strain deposited at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, having the deposit number FERM BP-10028.
2. Bacteria according to claim 1 , wherein the bacteria are viable, dead, processed, or in the form of an inclusion.
3. Bacteria according to claim 2 , wherein said processed bacteria are ground, crushed, liquefied, concentrated, pasted, dried, or diluted.
4. Bacteria according to claim 1 , where the bacteria are a suspension, culture, broth, or fermentated milk of said bacteria.
