Printhead module for an inkjet printer
View Patent ↗A printer includes a support structure and at least one printhead module to be retained between opposed walls of the support structure. The module includes a first edge for contacting a first of the opposed walls and a second edge for contacting a second of the opposed walls. The first edge includes at least one resilient mounting member for resiliently contacting the first wall thereby urging the second edge against the second opposed wall.

A printer including at least one printhead module to be retained between opposed walls of a support structure, the module including a first edge for contacting a first of said opposed walls and a second edge for contacting a second of said opposed walls, the first edge including at least one resilient mounting member for resiliently contacting the first wall thereby urging the second edge against the second opposed wall.
2. The printer of claim 1 wherein the at least one resilient mounting member is comprised of an elastomeric material.
3. The printer of claim 1 including at least one rigid mounting member.
4. The printer of claim 3 wherein the at least one resilient mounting member is located on a first side of the module and the at least one rigid mounting member is located on a second side of the module, opposite to the first side.
5. The printer of claim 1 including a substantially rigid body, the at least one resilient mounting member comprising at least one resilient pad located on an outer surface of the body.
6. The printer of claim 5 wherein the body is formed of molded plastics or polymer material.
7. The printer of claim 5 wherein the body is formed of molded liquid crystal polymer.
8. The printer of claim 5 wherein the body is molded and the at least one resilient pad is co-molded with the body.
