Polypeptides having alpha-glucosidase activity and polynucleotides encoding same
View Patent ↗The present invention relates to isolated polypeptides having alpha-glucosidase activity and isolated polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods for producing and using the polypeptides.
1. An isolated polypeptide having alpha-glucosidase activity, selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide having alpha-glucosidase activity comprising amino acids 15 to 880 of SEQ ID NO: 2;
(b) a polypeptide having alpha-glucosidase activity encoded by a polynucleotide comprising nucleotides 43 to 2643 of SEQ ID NO: 1
(c) a polypeptide having alpha-glucosidase activity comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2; and
(d) a polypeptide having alpha-glucosidase activity encoded by a polynucleotide comprising the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
2. The polypeptide of claim 1 , which comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
3. The polypeptide of claim 2 , which comprises amino acids 15 to 880 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2.
4. The polypeptide of claim 1 , which is encoded by the polynucleotide contained in plasmid pSMO216 which is contained in E. coli NRRL B-30751.
5. The polypeptide of claim 1 , which is encoded by a polynucleotide comprising the nucleotides 43 to 2643 of SEQ ID NO: 1.
6. The polypeptide of claim 2 , which consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
7. The polypeptide of claim 3 , which consist of the amino acids 15 to 880 of SEQ ID NO: 2.
8. The polypeptide of claim 5 , which is encoded by a polynucleotide comprising the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
9. The polypeptide of claim 8 , which is encoded by a polynucleotide consisting of the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
10. The polypeptide of claim 5 , which is encoded by a polynucleotide consisting of the nucleotides 43 to 2643 of SEQ ID NO: 1.
