Automated third party verification system

1. A computer based verification retrieval system comprising:

a communication network to facilitate communication between a first computer and a data access computer;

a data access computer connected to said communication network, said data access computer configured to serve as an interface for said first computer and transmit a customer verification over said communication network to said first computer, wherein said verification is a video file containing video footage of the customer; and

a data storage computer in communication with said data access computer, said data storage computer configured to store said verification and provide said verification to said data access computer upon request.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein said communication network is an internet.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein said data access computer is an internet server.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein said data access computer and said data storage computer are combined into a single computer.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein said first computer is a client computer.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein said verification is an audio data file representing recorded portions of speech.

7. The system of claim 1 , further including a speech pattern recognition module in communication with said data access computer to perform speech pattern analysis on said verification.

8. A computer based verification retrieval system comprising:

a communication network to facilitate communication between a first computer and a data access computer;

the data access computer connected to said communication network, said data access computer configured to serve as an interface for said first computer and transmit a customer verification over said communication network to said first computer, wherein said verification includes recorded data, and wherein said verification is a video file containing video footage of the customer; and

a data storage computer in communication with said data access computer, said data storage computer configured to store said verification and provide said verification to said data access computer upon request.

9. The system of claim 8 , comprising a telephone adapted to establish a communication link to the data access computer over a public switched telephone network.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein said data access computer is adapted to convert said verification to a personal computer compatible format.

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein said recorded data is an audio file containing voice responses from an individual.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein said data access computer is adapted to play said audio file over a telephone.

13. The system of claim 12 , wherein said audio file is played to a party requesting verification.

14. The system of claim 8 , wherein said verification is intended to provide verification for at least one of:

a telephone service provider;

a long distance telephone service provider; and

a utility service provider.

15. The system of claim 8 , wherein speech pattern analysis is performed on said recorded data.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein additional data is received.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein speech pattern analysis is performed on said additional data.

18. The system of claim 17 , wherein results of said speech pattern analysis performed on said recorded data are compared to results of said speech pattern analysis performed on said additional data.

19. The system of claim 18 , wherein said results can be retrieved.

20. The system of claim 19 , wherein said results can be stored.
