Abstract

In an ink jet apparatus for manufacturing a color filter 1 , ink jet heads 22 having a plurality of nozzle 27 are disposed in a linear manner. Filter element member is ejected to a motherboard 12 from a plurality of nozzles 27 four times so as to form the filter element 3 in a predetermined thickness. By doing this, it is possible to prevent difference in the thickness in a plurality of the filter elements 3 and to equalize light transparency in planar manner. Thus, in an ejecting apparatus, a color filter can be formed in more common way at low cost and more efficiently. Also, it is possible to provide an ejecting apparatus which can equalize factors such as electrooptic characteristics of the electrooptic members, color displaying characteristics by the liquid crystal apparatuses, and illuminating characteristics by an EL surface.

Claims (38)

1. A method for ejecting liquid drops using a plurality of heads, each head including a plurality of nozzles, disposed in arrays in a predetermined direction, for ejecting liquid drops, the nozzles including regulated nozzles and non-regulated nozzles, the method comprising:

disposing surfaces of the heads so as to face an object receiving the ejection;

providing a space between the surfaces and the object;

moving the heads relative to the object;

regulating the nozzles disposed on both end portions of the head so as to not eject the liquid drops from the nozzles that are disposed at both end portions in the predetermined direction, the non-regulated nozzles being divided into a plurality of groups; and

ejecting the liquid drops from non-regulated nozzle groups belonging to different groups.

2. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , further comprising regulating the ejection so that the ejection from predetermined portions of nozzles is 10% or greater than an average ejection of the nozzles in each head.

3. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , further comprising regulating the ejection so that the non-regulated portion of the nozzles eject with ±10% of the average ejection of the nozzles in each head.

4. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , wherein the nozzles have constant intervals therebetween.

5. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , wherein the nozzles are disposed in a diagonal direction with respect to a movement of the heads.

6. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , wherein each head has the same number of nozzles.

7. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , wherein the regulated portions of nozzles overlap the non-regulated portions of the nozzles disposed in adjacent heads with respect to the movement of the heads so that the non-regulated nozzles are continuous over the heads.

8. A method for ejecting liquid drops according to claim 1 , wherein the heads are disposed in a plurality of lines so that the non-regulated portions of the nozzles overlap the regulated nozzles disposed in adjacent lines with respect to the movement of the heads.

9. A method for manufacturing an electrooptic apparatus using the method of claim 1 , wherein the liquid drops include a material to become an EL-light-emitting color filter, the receiving object causing the reception being a substrate.

10. A method for manufacturing the electrooptic apparatus using the method of claim 1 , wherein the liquid drops include a material to become a color filter, the receiving object being a substrate.

11. A method for manufacturing a color filter using the method of claim 1 , wherein the liquid drops include a material to become a color filter, the receiving object being a substrate.

12. An apparatus for manufacturing a device using the method of claim 1 .

13. A method for manufacturing an electrooptic apparatus, the apparatus being formed by a substrate, a plurality of electrodes provided onto the substrate, and a plurality of EL-light-emitting layers corresponding to the electrodes, the method comprising:

disposing a plurality of liquid-drop-ejecting heads in a predetermined direction, each head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting liquid drops including an EL-light-emitting material, the nozzles including regulated nozzles and non-regulated nozzles;

disposing surfaces of the heads so as to face an object receiving the ejection;

providing a space between the surfaces and the object;

moving the heads relative to the object;

regulating the nozzles disposed on both end portions of the head so as to not eject the liquid drops from the nozzles that are disposed at both end portions in the predetermined direction, the non-regulated nozzles being divided into a plurality of groups; and

ejecting the liquid drops from non-regulated nozzle groups belonging to different groups.

14. A method for manufacturing an electrooptic apparatus, the apparatus being formed by a substrate and a plurality of different color filters provided onto the substrate corresponding to colors to be filtrated, the method comprising:

disposing a plurality of liquid-drop-ejecting heads in a predetermined direction, each head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting the liquid drops including materials corresponding to the colors to be filtrated, the nozzles including regulated nozzles and non-regulated nozzles;

disposing surfaces of the heads so as to face an object receiving the ejection;

providing a space between the surfaces and the object;

moving the heads relative to the object;

regulating the nozzles disposed on both end portions of the head so as to not eject the liquid drops from the nozzles that are disposed at both end portions in the predetermined direction, the non-regulated nozzles being divided into a plurality of groups; and

ejecting the liquid drops from non-regulated nozzle groups belonging to different groups.

15. A method for manufacturing a color filter, the color filter being formed by a substrate and a plurality of different color filters provided onto the substrate and corresponding to colors to be filtrated, the method comprising:

disposing a plurality of liquid-drop-ejecting heads in a predetermined direction, each head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting the liquid drops including materials corresponding to the colors to be filtrated, the nozzles including regulated nozzles and non-regulated nozzles;

disposing surfaces of the heads so as to face an object receiving the ejection;

providing a space between the surfaces and the object;

moving the heads relative to the object;

regulating the nozzles disposed on both end portions of the head so as to not eject the liquid drops from the nozzles that are disposed at both end portions in the predetermined direction, the non-regulated nozzles being divided into a plurality of groups; and

ejecting the liquid drops from non-regulated nozzle groups belonging to different groups.
