Sampling tube holder for blood sampling system
A holder for receiving a sampling tube of a blood sampling system is disclosed. The holder has an interior pocket which can be conformed from a closed position to an open position for receiving the sampling tube.

32 . A blood processing set comprising:
a flow path for receiving blood from a donor, said flow path including a branch connector;
a flow path between said branch connector and a blood collection container;
a plastic sample container defining an interior chamber;
another flow path between said branch connector and said sample container;
a sample access site directly communicating with said other flow path; and
an internal flow path communicating with said access site and extending substantially into said interior chamber.
33 . The set of claim 32 wherein said internal flow path provides the only access into and from said interior chamber.
34 . The set of claim 32 wherein said access site is accessible by a vacuum tube holder.
35 . The set of claim 34 wherein said access site includes a seal breakable by said vacuum tube holder.
36 . The set of claim 32 wherein said internal flow path is defined by a plastic tube.
37 . A blood processing set comprising:
a donor access device for drawing blood from a donor;
a flow path between said donor access device and a branch connector;
a flow path between said branch connector and a blood collection container;
another flow path between said branch connector and said sample container;
a sample access site directly communicating with said other flow path; and
an internal flow path communicating with said access site and extending substantially into said interior chamber.
38 . The set of claim 37 wherein said internal flow path provides the only access into and from said interior chamber.
39 . The set of claim 37 wherein said access site is accessible by a vacuum tube holder.
40 . The set of claim 39 wherein said access site includes a seal breakable by said vacuum tube holder.
41 . The set of claim 37 wherein said internal flow path is defined by a plastic tube.
