Abstract

A take-off needle comprises a hollow lance having a distal end adapted to perform a insertion operation, said hollow lance being connected to at least one pipe provided with a spigot for it to be connected to a tube, and comprising a body for holding the hollow lance and pipe relative to each other such that the spigot projects from the holding body, said needle further comprising two flanges held on respective sides of and spaced from the holding body by virtue of a spacer disposed between each flange and the holding body, said flanges extending in a longitudinal direction from the spigot to the vicinity of the proximal end of the hollow lance, the width of each flange being greater than the width of the portion of the holding body facing the flanges.

Claims (7)

1. A take-off needle comprising a hollow lance having a distal end adapted to perform an insertion operation, said hollow lance being connected to at least one pipe provided with two spigots with each being connected to a tube, each tube is connected to a different collection container such that liquid flows through the lance and pipe and into the two spigots, a body for holding the hollow lance and pipe relative to each other, each spigot being connected to and projecting from the holding body in a direction selected from the group consisting of transversely and obliquely, the needle having two flanges held on respective sides of and spaced from the holding body by virtue of a spacer disposed between each flange and the holding body, the spigots projecting from the holding body from between the two flanges, said flanges extending in a longitudinal direction from the spigots to the vicinity of the proximal end of the hollow lance, the width of each flange being greater than the width of the portion of the holding body facing the flanges and each of the flanges is arcuate so as to be bowed towards the holding body.

2. The take-off needle according to claim 1 wherein each of the flanges has a transverse curvature forming an outwardly directed rounded form.

3. The take-off needle according to claim 1 wherein two spigots project from respective sides of the holding body such that each of the spigots projects from between the two flanges.

4. The take-off needle according to claim 1 wherein the flanges are attached to the holding body via a shell, the internal form of which mates with the external form of the holding body, said shell is formed of two half-shells and each half shell is fixed to one of the flanges by a spacer.

5. A take-off needle comprising a hollow lance having a distal end adapted to perform a insertion operation, said hollow lance being connected to at least one pipe provided with two spigots with each being connected to a tube, each tube is connected to a different collection container such that liquid flows through the lance and pipe and into the two spigots, tubes and into the containers, a body for holding the hollow lance and pipe relative to each other such that the spigots projects from the holding body in a direction selected from the group consisting of transversely and obliquely, two flanges fixed on respective sides of and spaced from the holding body by virtue of a spacer disposed between each flange and the holding body, the spigot projecting from the holding body from between the two flanges, said flanges extending in a longitudinal direction from the spigot to the vicinity of the proximal end of the hollow lance, the width of each flange being greater than the width of the portion of the holding body facing the flanges, each of the flanges is arcuate so as to be bowed towards the holding body, each of the flanges has a transverse curvature so as to present a rounded surface and each of the flanges has a transverse guard at its distal end.

6. A take-off needle comprising a hollow lance having a distal end adapted to perform a insertion operation, said hollow lance being connected to at least one pipe provided with a two spigots with each being connected to a tube, a body for holding the hollow lance and pipe relative to each other such that the spigots project from the holding body in a direction selected from the group consisting of transversely and obliquely, two flanges held on respective sides of and spaced from the holding body by virtue of a spacer disposed between each flange and the holding body, the spigots projecting from the holding body from between the two flanges, said flanges extending in a longitudinal direction from the spigot to the vicinity of the proximal end of the hollow lance, the width of each flange being greater than the width of the portion of the holding body facing the flanges, wherein each of the flanges is arcuate so as to be bowed towards the holding body, the flanges are attached to the holding body via a shell, the internal form of which mates with the external form of the holding body, said shell is formed of two half-shells, each half shell being connected to one of the flanges and said half-shells are identical and hermaphroditic.

7. A take-off needle comprising a main hollow lance having a distal end adapted to perform an insertion operation and a venting hollow lance extending through an interior of the main hollow lance, the main hollow lance being connected at its proximal end to a pipe provided with two spigots which are each connected to a tube that each are connected to a different container such that liquid flows through the lance and pipe and into the two spigots, tubes and into the containers, a holding body for holding the hollow lance, the venting hollow lance and pipe relative to each other, the venting hollow lance passing through an interior of the holding body, main hollow lance and pipe and being connected to a venting filter at an end of the needle farthest from the distal end of the main hollow lance, the spigots being connected to and projecting from the holding body in a direction selected from the group consisting of transversely and obliquely, the needle having two flanges held on respective sides of and spaced from the holding body by virtue of a spacer disposed between each flange and the holding body, the spigots projecting from the holding body from between the two flanges, said flanges extending in a longitudinal direction from the spigots to the vicinity of the proximal end of the hollow lance, the width of each flange being greater than the width of the portion of the holding body facing the flanges and wherein each of the flanges is arcuate so as to be bowed towards the holding body.
