Abstract

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus having a structure suitable for installing different functions each requiring a hole in an enclosure depending on grade or destination by mounting the same module. The apparatus includes: an enclosure having a hole; and a board having mounted thereon a first component and a second component which differently interact with the outside via the hole, either one of the first and second components is disposed at such a position that it faces the outside through the hole according to an attachment direction of the board.

Claims (29)

1. An electronic apparatus comprising:

an enclosure having a hole; and

a board adjustably attached to an interior of the enclosure and having mounted thereon a first component and a second component which differently interact with an exterior of the enclosure via the hole, the board being adjustable to position a selected one of the first and second components in alignment with, and to face the exterior through, the hole and to position the other of the first and second components away from the hole, in the adjusted position of the board.

2. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first component is a microphone which picks up sound, and the second component is an infrared sensor used for remote control.

3. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the board has disposed thereon a third component interacting with the outside, the third component being disposed between the first and second components at a position which remains constant, relative to the hole, irrespective of the adjustable positions of the board.

4. The electronic apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the third component is a magnetic sensor which detects contact and non-contact thereof with a magnetic member.

5. The electronic apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the board is adjustable such that the infrared senor faces the exterior; and

the electronic apparatus further comprises a filter covering the hole and passing infrared rays.

6. The electronic apparatus according to claim 4 , further comprising:

a main unit which has a keyboard on a top surface thereof; and

a display unit which is openable from, and closable to, a closed position with respect to the main unit and has a display screen, wherein:

the enclosure defines the display unit,

the main unit has the magnetic member affecting the magnetic sensor and disposed at a position coinciding with the magnetic sensor when the display unit is closed, and

the magnetic sensor detects the opened versus closed positions of the display unit with respect to the main unit.

7. An electronic apparatus, comprising:

an enclosure having a hole; and

a support rotatably mounted on the interior of the enclosure for rotation about an axis perpendicular to a surface defined by the enclosure and having first and second communication components mounted thereon communicating differently with an exterior of the enclosure via the hole, the support being adjustable to position a selected one of the first and second components in alignment with the hole to communicate through the hole with the exterior of the enclosure and to position the other of the first and second components away from the hole, in the adjusted position of the support.

8. The electronic apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the first component is a microphone which picks up sound, and the second component is an infrared sensor used for remote control.

9. The electronic apparatus according to claim 7 , further comprising a third component disposed on the support and communicating with the exterior, the third component being disposed between the first and second components at a position which remains stationary, relative to the hole, in respective of the adjustable positions of the support.

10. The electronic apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the third component is a magnetic sensor which detects contact and non-contact thereof with a magnetic member.

11. The electronic apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein:

the board is adjustable such that the infrared senor faces the exterior; and

the electronic apparatus further comprises a filter covering the hole and passing infrared rays.

12. The electronic apparatus according to claim 10 , further comprising:

a main unit which has a keyboard on a top surface thereof; and

a display unit which is openable from, and closable to, a closed position with respect to the main unit and has a display screen, wherein:

the enclosure defines the display unit,

the main unit has the magnetic member affecting the magnetic sensor and disposed at a position coinciding with the magnetic sensor when the display unit is closed, and

the magnetic sensor detects the opened versus closed positions of the display unit with respect to the main unit.
