Twist mop
A twist mop comprises a pole, fibers connected to the pole, and a movable collar connected to both the fibers and the pole, so that the collar is movable in an axial and radial direction about the pole, where radial movement of the collar pulls taut the fibers. The mop comprises an upper spline is connected to the pole, a pawl connected to the collar, to allow the collar to move in a radial direction clockwise or counterclockwise about the upper spline. The collar has a radial step to engage the pawl. The pawl is shaped to flex toward the radial step both when the collar axially traverses the pole and when the collar twists in a first direction, around the upper spline. The pawl being shaped to bias towards the upper spline while the collar turns in a second directions, opposite the first direction, around the upper spline.

15 . A cleaning apparatus comprising:
a pole, said pole having a proximal end and a distal end;
an ergonomically-shaped grasping portion, said grasping portion being wrapped around the proximal end of said pole;
fastening means connected to the grasping portion; and
cleaning means, said cleaning means being attached to the distal end of said pole.
16 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the fastening means is fixedly connected to the pole.
17 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the fastening means is a loop.
18 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 17 whereby the loop facilitates hanging the cleaning apparatus on an object.
19 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 17 whereby the loop suspends the cleaning apparatus from a hook.
20 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 17 whereby the loop has an outside diameter of about 1 ½ inches.
21 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 17 whereby the loop has a thickness of about ¼ inch.
22 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion has a non-slip grip.
23 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion and the fastening means prevents unintentionally damaging a surface.
24 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion and the fastening means is axially positioned on the pole.
25 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion and the fastening means is fabricated from rubber.
26 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion and the fastening means is fabricated from an elastic material.
27 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion is connected to the pole via a bolt.
28 . The cleaning apparatus as claimed in claim 15 whereby the grasping portion is connected to the pole via an adhesive.
