Abstract

The present invention relates to oral formulations comprising an active agent comprising at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, salts of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid.

Claims (164)

1 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is less than or equal to 70% at thirty (30) minutes.

2 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is at least 0.9% at thirty (30) minutes and less than or equal to 70% at thirty (30) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is less than or equal to 80% at sixty (60) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is at least 7.0% at sixty (60) minutes and less than or equal to 80% at sixty (60) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is at least 0.9% and less than or equal to 70% at thirty (30) minutes and is at least 7.0% and less than or equal to 80% at sixty (60) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is less than or equal to 90% at ninety (90) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH is at least 0.9% and less than or equal to 70% at thirty (30) minutes, at least 7.0% and less than or equal to 80% at sixty (60) minutes and less than or equal to 90% at ninety (90) minutes.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at 0.5 hours is from at least 0.9% but less than or equal to 62.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is from at least 7.0% but less than or equal to 71.0%.

35 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at 0.5 hour is from at least 0.9% but less than or equal to 62.0% and at one (1) hour is from at least 7.0% but less than or equal to 71.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 7.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at two (2) hours is at least 16.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at three (3) hours is at least 24.0%.

64 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 28.0%.

65 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at four (4) hours is at least 29.0%

66 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 7.0% and at two (2) hours is at least 16.0%.

67 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 7.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 16.0% and at three (3) hours is at least 24.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 7.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 16.0%, at three (3) hours is at least 24.0% and at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 28.0%.

69 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 7.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 16.0%, at three (3) hours is at least 24.8%, at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 28.0% and at four (4) hours is at least 29.0%.

70 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is less than or equal to 41.0%.

71 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at two (2) hours is less than or equal to 79.0%.

72 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is less than or equal to 41.0% and at two (2) hours is less than or equal to 79.0%.

73 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is from 7.0% to 41.0%.

74 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at two (2) hours is from 16.0% to 79.0%.

75 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is from 7.0% to 41.0% and at two (2) hours is from 16.0% to 79.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at two (2) hours is at least 21.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at three (3) hours is at least 34.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 39.0%

105 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at four (4) hours is at least 44.0%.

106 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 9.0% and at two (2) hours is at least 21.0%.

107 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 9.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 21.0% and at three (3) hours is at least 34.0%.

108 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 9.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 21.0%, at three (3) hours is at least 34.0% and at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 39.0%.

109 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is at least 9.0%, at two (2) hours is at least 21.0%, at three (3) hours is at least 34.0%, at three and one-half (3.5) hours is at least 39.0% and at four (4) hours is at least 44.0%.

110 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is from 9.0% to 41.0%.

111 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at two (2) hours is from 21.0% to 79.0%.

112 . A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at one (1) hour is from 9.0% to 41.0% and at two (2) hours is from 21.0% to 79.0%.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at 0.5 hours is at least 15.0% and is less than 71.0% and at one (1) hour is at least 40.0% and less than 81.0% and further wherein the dissolution of said solid dosage form follows a square root of time profile.

A solid dosage form comprising: an active agent, wherein the active agent is at least one of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, a salt of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid or a buffered 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, wherein a percentage of the dosage form dissolved in an in vitro dissolution at a single pH at 0.5 hours is at least 15.0% and is less than 57.0% and at one (1) hour is at least 40.0% and less than 70.0% and further wherein the dissolution of said solid dosage form follows a square root of time profile.
