Abstract

Pesticidal compositions containing as a pesticidally acceptable carrier, at least one plant essential oil compound as a pesticidally active ingredient; and isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate or analogs thereof, as a synergist, and methods for using same, are disclosed.

Claims (11)

1 . A method for killing or controlling pests, which comprises applying to the pests a pesticidally-effective amount of a pesticidal composition comprising a pesticidally-acceptable carrier and a pesticidally-effective active ingredient, wherein the pesticidally-effective active ingredient comprises

a pesticidally effective amount of at least one plant essential oil compound, and

a pesticidally effective amount of at least one synergist selected from the group consisting of isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl acetate, isopropyl lanolin, isopropyl stearate, isopropylamine, isopropylamine salt of oleoylisopropanolamide, isopropylamine sulfate, 4-isopropylidene-1-methylcylohexene, 4,4′-isopropylidenediphenol c(12-15)-alkyl phosphates, isopropylnapthalenesulfonic acid, sodium salt, and isopropylsulfamic acid.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein no other pesticidally effective active ingredient is present in the pesticidal composition.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pest is selected from the group consisting of cockroach, ladybeetle, yellow jacket, and house fly.

5 . A pesticidal composition comprising a pesticidally-acceptable carrier and a pesticidally-effective active ingredient, wherein the pesticidally-effective active ingredient comprises

a pesticidally effective amount of at least one plant essential oil compound, and

a pesticidally effective amount of at least one synergist selected from the group consisting of isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl acetate, isopropyl lanolin, isopropyl stearate, isopropylamine, isopropylamine salt of oleoylisopropanolamide, isopropylamine sulfate, 4-isopropylidene-1-methylcylohexene, 4,4′-isopropylidenediphenol c(12-15)-alkyl phosphates, isopropylnapthalenesulfonic acid, sodium salt, and isopropylsulfamic acid.
