Abstract

An interactive game in which a player and a gaming organization are each assigned game indicia. The game includes identifying a first game indicia selected by the game player with a first game indicia selected by the gaming organization thereafter, whereupon the player and the gaming organization each then select the remaining game indicia for the game. The gaming organization's selections are disclosed to the game player during each of its turns, so the game player can calculate the possibility before making his next selection. The game player is credited with a match for each of his or her selected indicium that matches the indicium selected by the gaming organization in that turn.

Claims (24)

1. A method for conducting a base game wherein a player plays against a gaming organization via a graphical user interface in communication with a game server, said method comprising:

displaying to the player on the graphical user interface two separate sets of game indicia selection each having a plurality of game indicia, wherein the first set of game indicia selection is assigned to the player, and the second set of game indicia selection is assigned to the gaming organization;

wherein the plurality of game indicia in the first set of indicia selection assigned to the player is identical to the plurality of game indicia in the second set of indicia selection assigned to the gaming organization;

the player selecting a first one of player game indicia via the graphical user interface wherein the player's selection is shown on the graphical interface, and the gaming organization subsequently randomly designating and displaying on the graphical user interface, via the game server, the first one of the gaming organization game indicia such that the player is made aware of the gaming organization's actual selection wherein after the gaming organization's selection, the graphical interface displays the player selected indicia, separately displays the gaming organization selected indicia and displays the remaining unselected indicia on the graphical user interface;

determining if the player's first selected game indicia matches the gaming organization's first designated game indicia, a match occurs when the player selected flame indicia is the same flame indicia randomly designated by the gaming organization;

repeating the process wherein the player selects one of the remaining player game indicia, and the gaming organization randomly designates and displays one of the remaining gaming organization game indicia until no further player game indicia remain or no further matches are possible between the player selected game indicia and the gaming organization randomly designated game indicia; and

awarding a prize to the player as a function of the number of matches between the player selected game indicia and the gaming organization randomly generated game indicia.

2. The method as in claim 1 , further comprising indicating on the graphical user interface which of the player selected game indicia matched the game indicia randomly designated by the gaming organization.

3. The method as in claim 1 , further comprising providing the player with a defined period of time in which to select their game indicia, and automatically randomly selecting an indicia for the player from the remaining player assigned game indicia in the event that the time expires without the player making a selection of game indicia.

4. The method as in claim 1 , wherein multiple iterations of the base game are conducted and the player is awarded a prize based on the total number of matches from the multiple iterations of the game.

5. The method as in claim 1 , further comprising a bonus game wherein a multiplier factor is applied to the prize award for successful play of the bonus game.

6. The method as in claim 5 , wherein the bonus game is a reiteration of the base game, and the value of the multiplier factor is a function of the number of matches in the bonus game.

7. A system for conducting a base game wherein a player plays against a gaming organization, comprising:

a graphical user interface in communication with a game server; the server configured to display to the player on the graphical user interface two separate sets of game indicia selection each having a plurality of game indicia, wherein the first set of game indicia selection is assigned to the player, and the second set of game indicia selection is assigned to the gaming organization;

wherein the plurality of game indicia in the first set of indicia selection assigned to the player is identical to the plurality of game indicia in the second set of indicia selection assigned to the gaming organization;

the graphical user interface configured to allow the player to select a first game indicia from the plurality of game indicia assigned to the player and subsequently display the player's selection on the graphical interface, and the server configured to subsequently randomly designate and display on the graphical user interface a first game indicia from the plurality of game indicia assigned to the gaming organization such that the player is made aware of the gaming organization's actual selection wherein after the gaming organization's selection, the graphical interface displays the player selected indicia, separately displays the gaming organization selected indicia and displays the remaining unselected indicia on the graphical user interface;

the server determining if the player's selected game indicia matches the gaming organization's designated game indicia, a match occurs when the player selected game indicia is the same game indicia randomly designated by the gaming organization;

the server and graphical user interface configured for repeating the process wherein the player selects one of the remaining player game indicia, and the gaming organization randomly designates and displays one of the remaining gaming organization game indicia until no further player game indicia remain or no further matches are possible between the player selected game indicia and the gaming organization randomly designated game indicia; and

the server configured to indicate on the graphical user interface a prize awarded to the player that is a function of the number of matches between the player selected game indicia and the gaming organization randomly generated game indicia.

8. The system as in claim 7 , wherein the server is further configured to indicate on the graphical user interface which of the player selected game indicia matched the game indicia randomly designated by the gaming organization.

9. The system as in claim 7 , wherein the server is further configured to provide the player with a defined period of time in which to select their game indicia, and to automatically randomly select an indicia for the player from the remaining player assigned game indicia in the event that the time expires without the player making a selection of game indicia.

10. The system as in claim 7 , wherein the server is configured to conduct multiple iterations of the base game, and the player is awarded a prize based on the total number of matches from the multiple iterations of the game.

11. The system as in claim 7 , wherein the server is further configured to conduct a bonus game wherein a multiplier factor is applied to the prize award for successful play of the bonus game.

12. The system as in claim 11 , wherein the bonus game is a reiteration of the base game, and the value of the multiplier factor is a function of the number of matches in the bonus game.
