Pharmaceutical compositions of an AT
View Patent ↗The present invention relates to a combination, especially a pharmaceutical composition, comprising as active ingredients (i) an AT 1 -receptor antagonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; (ii) (a) an insulin secretion enhancer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or (b) an insulin sensitizer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and, in case of a pharmaceutical composition, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
1. A method for the inhibition of the onset of, delay of progression or treatment of diabetes and/or complications therefrom comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a suitable dosage form consisting essentially of the AT1-receptor antagonist, valsartan.
2. The method of claim 1 wherein the diabetes is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
