Abstract

The invention provides a method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor including preparing a coating liquid by dissolving at least a compound having an addition polymerizable ethylenic double bond and a polymerization initiator in an organic solvent, and applying the coating liquid to a support, wherein the dissolved oxygen content in the coating liquid from the preparation of the coating liquid to the application of the liquid to the support is kept at a prescribed amount or higher.

Claims (15)

1 . A method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor comprising:

preparing a coating liquid by dissolving at least a compound having an addition polymerizable ethylenic double bond and a polymerization initiator in an organic solvent; and

applying the coating liquid to a support,

wherein a dissolved oxygen content in the coating liquid from the preparation of the coating liquid to the application of the coating liquid to the support is kept at a prescribed amount or higher.

2 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the prescribed amount is 8.0 mg/l.

3 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the compound having an addition polymerizable ethylenic double bond is a compound having two or more terminal polymerizable ethylenic double bonds.

4 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the compound having the addition polymerizable ethylenic double bond is contained in the coating liquid in an amount of 20 to 80% by mass relative to the total solid content of the coating liquid.

5 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the polymerization initiator is a hexaaryl biimidazole compound, a compound having a carbon-halogen bond, an onium compound, or a metallocene compound.

6 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the polymerization initiator is contained in the coating liquid in an amount of 0.01 to 1.0% by mass relative to the total solid content of the coating liquid.

7 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the coating liquid further contains a sensitizing dye.

8 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 7 , wherein the sensitizing dye is contained in the coating liquid in an amount of 0.05 to 30% by mass relative to the total solid content of the coating liquid.

9 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , wherein the coating liquid further contains a co-initiator selected from the group consisting of halogenated hydrocarbon compounds, ketone compounds, ketoxime compounds, organic peroxides, thio compounds, hexaaryl biimidazoles, aromatic onium compounds, and oxime ethers.

10 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , further comprising supplying oxygen to the coating liquid by stirring the coating liquid.

11 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , further comprising supplying oxygen to the coating liquid by circulating the coating liquid.

12 . The method of producing a photosensitive planographic printing plate precursor of claim 1 , further comprising supplying oxygen to the coating liquid by injecting air into the coating liquid.
