Abstract

A method for mounting a massaging micro jet in a slanted wall of a whirlpool bath, in a recessed position relative to the slanted wall, the micro jet being connectable to a pressurized fluid supply. The method comprises: performing an opening in the slanted wall; inserting a holding cup a predetermined orientation in the opening, the holding cup having a mounting flange at a free end, a bottom partition recessed from the free end, and a micro jet mounted to the bottom partition and having a port extending there through, the mounting flange of the holding cup abutting an inner surface of the slanted wall and the port being oriented substantially horizontally in the predetermined orientation; and securing the mounting flange of the holding cup to the slanted wall.

Claims (28)

1 . Method for mounting a massaging micro jet in a slanted wall of a whirlpool bath, in a recessed position relative to said slanted wall, the method comprising:

performing an opening in the slanted wall;

inserting a massaging micro jet holding cup through the opening, the massaging micro jet holding cup defining a cavity therein and having means for mounting same to the slanted wall at a first end and a recessed bottom partition at a second end, opposed to the first end, with an aperture defined therein;

introducing the micro jet into the cup with a cylindrical member of the micro jet extending through the aperture and a fixing flange of the micro jet abutting the recessed bottom partition and fixing the micro jet to the recessed bottom partition, the micro jet having a port extending therethrough for conveying a fluid therein into the cavity of the holding cup and an outlet aperture in fluid communication with the cavity of the holding cup; and

fixing the massaging micro jet holding cup substantially flush with the opening by means of the mounting means.

2 . Method according to claim 1 , further comprising adjusting the orientation of the port of the micro jet by rotating the holding cup in the opening for providing a substantially horizontally-oriented fluid flow in the cavity.

Method according to claim 2 , wherein the holding cup comprises a first cylindrical portion, contiguous to the mounting means, and a second cylindrical portion, contiguous to the recessed bottom partition, the first and second cylindrical portions being in fluid communication and angularly disposed relatively to one another, wherein said adjusting further comprises orienting the recessed bottom partition in a substantially vertical orientation.

4 . Method according to claim 1 , further comprising connecting the micro jet to a pressurized fluid supply.

5 . Method according to claim 1 , wherein said fixing further comprises securing the fixing flange of the micro jet to the recessed bottom partition.

6 . Method according to claim 1 , wherein said holding cup comprises a mounting flange provided at a free end thereof, wherein said inserting further comprises juxtaposing said mounting flange to an inner surface of said slanted wall.

7 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein said fixing further comprises inserting a first seal ring around the holding cup, juxtaposing the first seal ring to an outer surface of the slanted wall, and screwing a flange nut over an outer surface of the holding cup against the first seal ring.

8 . A method for mounting a massaging micro jet in a slanted wall of a whirlpool bath, in a recessed position relative to the slanted wall, the micro jet being connectable to a pressurized fluid supply, the method comprises:

performing an opening in the slanted wall;

inserting a holding cup in the opening, the holding cup having a mounting flange at a free end, a bottom partition recessed from the free end, and a micro jet mounted to the bottom partition and having a port extending therethrough, the mounting flange of the holding cup abutting an inner surface of the slanted wall;

rotating the holding cup relative to the slanted wall until the port of the micro jet is in a substantially horizontal orientation; and

securing the mounting flange of the holding cup to the slanted wall.

Method according to claim 8 , wherein the holding cup comprises a first cylindrical portion, contiguous to the mounting flange, and a second cylindrical portion, contiguous to the bottom partition, the first and second cylindrical portions being in fluid communication and angularly disposed relatively to one another, wherein said rotating further comprises rotating the holding cup relative to the slanted wall until the bottom partition is in a substantially vertical orientation.

Method according to claim 8 , further comprising inserting the micro jet into the holding cup with a cylindrical member of the micro jet extending through an aperture defined in the bottom partition of the holding cup, a fixing flange of the micro jet abutting the bottom partition of the holding cup, and an outlet aperture of the micro jet being in fluid communication with a cavity defined in the holding cup.

11 . Method according to claim 8 , further comprising connecting the micro jet to a pressurized fluid supply.

12 . Method according to claim 8 , wherein said securing further comprises inserting a first seal ring around the holding cup, juxtaposing the first seal ring to an outer surface of the slanted wall, and screwing a flange nut over an outer surface of the holding cup against the first seal ring.

13 . A method for mounting a massaging micro jet in a slanted wall of a whirlpool bath, in a recessed position relative to the slanted wall, the method comprises:

performing an opening in the slanted wall;

inserting a holding cup a predetermined orientation in the opening, the holding cup having a mounting flange at a free end, a bottom partition recessed from the free end, and a micro jet mounted to the bottom partition and having a port extending therethrough, the mounting flange of the holding cup abutting an inner surface of the slanted wall and the port being oriented substantially horizontally in the predetermined orientation; and

securing the mounting flange of the holding cup to the slanted wall.

Method according to claim 13 , wherein the holding cup comprises a first cylindrical portion, contiguous to the mounting flange, and a second cylindrical portion, contiguous to the bottom partition, the first and second cylindrical portions being in fluid communication and angularly disposed relatively to one another, wherein said inserting further comprises orienting the bottom partition in a substantially vertical orientation.

Method according to claim 13 , further comprising inserting the micro jet into the holding cup with a cylindrical member of the micro jet extending through an aperture defined in the bottom partition of the holding cup, a fixing flange of the micro jet abutting the bottom partition of the holding cup, and an outlet aperture of the micro jet being in fluid communication with a cavity defined in the holding cup.

16 . Method according to claim 13 , further comprising connecting the micro jet to a pressurized fluid supply.

17 . Method according to claim 13 , wherein said securing further comprises inserting a first seal ring around the holding cup, juxtaposing the first seal ring to an outer surface of the slanted wall, and screwing a flange nut over an outer surface of the holding cup against the first seal ring.
