Abstract

The disclosed device is directed towards an animal pen system including a body having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface. The body is flexible and the body defines a support wall proximate a perimeter of the body. The support wall is configured to support a pen wall disposed on the top surface of the body. The support wall is configured to demountably couple to the pen wall.

Claims (8)

1 . In a non-human mammal pen having: a pen wall having a plurality of substantially rigid sections that are foldably connected to adjacent sections, the pen wall having an upper and lower edge and the pen wall extending between said edges a given height, the pen wall capable of being arranged to form a free standing enclosure open on the upper and lower edges and enclosing a first surface area and defining a perimeter, the improvement comprising:

a substantially planar flexible body having a top and bottom surface of substantially equal areas; the area of said surfaces being larger than the first surface area;

the lower edge of the pen wall being set on the body such that the body extends beyond the pen wall in all locations around the perimeter and the pen wall extending from the lower edge to the upper edge substantially perpendicular to the body;

the body having attachment members configured to removably attach and detach to the pen wall, the body not being attached to the pen wall other than by the attachment members;

the portion of the body extending beyond the pen wall being folded against the outer surface of the pen wall and being attached to the pen wall to form a support wall for the pen wall all around the perimeter; and

the body forming a floor of the non-human mammal pen.

2 . The non human mammal pen of claim 1 further comprising the support wall extending less than half the given height of the pen wall.

3 . The non human mammal pen of claim 1 wherein the attachment members comprise hooks.
