Abstract

A convenience gaming system is provided. The convenience gaming system allows users to access applications via gaming communication devices coupled to a communication network. At least a portion of the network may be wireless. The gaming applications include gambling, financial, entertainment service, and other types of transactions. The system may include a user location determination feature to prevent users from conducting transactions from unauthorized areas.

29 . A trading system comprising:

at least one financial transaction server; and

at least one mobile communication device connected to the at least one financial transaction server by a telecommunications network,

wherein the at least one mobile communication device is operable to send and receive financial transaction information to and from the at least one financial transaction server if a user of the mobile communication device meets at least one identity verification criterion by interacting with the mobile communication device.

30 . The trading system of claim 29 , wherein the mobile communication device is only operable to send and receive financial transaction information if the mobile communication device also meets at least one location verification criterion.

31 . The trading system of claim 29 , further comprising at least one credit information sever, wherein the mobile communication device is operable to send and receive credit verification information to and from the at least one credit information server.

The trading system of claim 29 , further comprising at least one credit information server, wherein an interaction between a user and the mobile communication device is operable to cause a communication path to be established between the at least one credit information server and at least one of the at least one financial transaction server and the mobile communication device.

33 . The trading system of claim 29 , wherein communication between the mobile communication device and the at least one financial transaction server is achieved via a Push to Talk protocol.
