Liquid crystal display and assembly thereof
View Patent ↗The present invention is broadly directed towards a receiving container for an LCD apparatus for securing a lamp and lamp wiring connected to a lamp. The receiving container has features for substantially preventing the lamp wiring from being disconnected from the lamp. For example, a first through-hole for receiving the lamp wiring, a first trench, securing members, and securing projections are utilized to substantially prevent lamp wiring from being disconnected from a lamp. Additionally, the LCD apparatus is easily handled, dissipates heat effectively, and has a light weight.
1. A liquid crystal display, comprising:
a chassis for receiving an LCD panel assembly;
an optical member arranged below a LCD panel;
a first receiving container, comprising:
a first lower plate including sidewalls, wherein a portion of the first lower plate is removed forming an open portion; and
a trench arranged along a portion of the lower plate and extending toward the open portion of the first lower plate at an angle with respect to a sidewall of the first lower plate for receiving lamp wiring; and
a lamp assembly arranged in a second receiving container, wherein the first and second receiving containers have an overlapping area and the second receiving container includes a second lower plate covering the open portion.
2. The liquid crystal display of claim 1 , wherein the lamp assembly comprises a lamp cover which receives a first electrode and a second electrode of a lamp and the lamp assembly is arranged along a sidewall of the first receiving container.
3. The liquid crystal display of claim 2 , wherein the lamp wiring is electrically connected to the second electrode and a portion of the lamp wiring is arranged through a through-hole of the first receiving container.
4. The liquid crystal display of claim 1 , wherein the first receiving container comprises a securing projection arranged along at least one of the sidewalls which substantially prevents the lamp wiring from disconnecting from the lamp.
5. The liquid crystal display of claim 4 , wherein the securing projection includes a first securing portion and second securing portion arranged into a T shape.
6. The liquid crystal display of claim 1 , wherein the first receiving container comprises a securing member slidably mounted to the first lower plate for securing the wiring with securing grooves.
