Abstract

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a plurality of lamps for irradiating light onto the liquid crystal display panel, a cover bottom that houses the plurality of lamps, an inverter printed circuit board having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface with an insulation base layer between the first and second surfaces, wherein the second surface is adjacent to the cover bottom, a transformer on the first surface of the inverter printed circuit board, and a metal shielding pattern on the second surface of the inverter printed circuit board directly between the transformer and the cover bottom.

Claims (33)

1. A liquid crystal display device, comprising:

a liquid crystal display panel;

a plurality of lamps for irradiating light onto the liquid crystal display panel;

a cover bottom that houses the plurality of lamps;

an inverter printed circuit board having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface with an insulation base layer between the first and second surfaces, wherein the second surface is adjacent to the cover bottom;

a transformer on the first surface of the inverter printed circuit board; and

a metal shielding pattern for shielding magnetic flux of the transformer on the second surface of the inverter printed circuit board directly between the transformer and the cover bottom,

a first metal pattern on the first surface in an area other than where the transformer is located,

a second metal pattern on the second surface corresponding to the first metal pattern,

wherein the metal shielding pattern is formed on the second surface corresponding to the transformer, and

wherein the metal shielding pattern is electrically isolated from the second metal pattern.

2. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of lamps are external electrode fluorescent lamps.

3. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the second metal patterns are grounded.

4. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the metal shielding pattern includes at least one of copper, zinc, nickel and aluminum.

5. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the cover bottom is disposed between the lamps and the inverter printed circuit board.

6. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the transformer commonly drives the plurality of lamps.

7. A liquid crystal display device, comprising:

a liquid crystal display panel;

a plurality of lamps for irradiating light onto the liquid crystal display panel;

a cover bottom that houses the plurality of lamps;

a reflection sheet adhered to an inside surface of the cover bottom;

an inverter printed circuit board at an outside surface of the cover bottom;

a transformer on a first surface of the inverter printed circuit board; and

a metal shielding pattern for shielding magnetic flux of the transformer positioned on the inverter printed circuit board directly between the transformer and the cover bottom,

a first metal pattern on the first surface in an area other than where the transformer is located,

a second metal pattern on a second surface corresponding to the first metal pattern,

wherein the metal shielding pattern is formed on the second surface corresponding to the transformer, and

wherein the metal shielding pattern is electrically isolated from the second metal pattern.

8. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the plurality of lamps are external electrode fluorescent lamps.

9. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the second metal patterns are grounded.

10. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the metal shielding pattern includes at least one of copper, zinc, nickel and aluminum.

11. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the cover bottom is disposed between the lamps and the inverter printed circuit board.

12. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 7 , wherein the transformer commonly drives the plurality of lamps.
