Abstract

Method of cleaning dishes in an automatic dishwashing machine comprising providing film material consisting essentially of an ethoxylated poly(vinylalcohol) material enclosing a dishwasher detergent composition to an automatic dishwashing machine.

Claims (6)

1. A method of cleaning dishes in an automatic dishwashing machine which method comprises the steps of:

providing a water-soluble package comprising a film consisting of an ethylene oxide grafted polyvinylalcohol enclosing a low-foaming dishwasher detergent composition which comprises at least one borate compound to said automatic dishwashing machine, and, during operation of the automatic dishwashing machine contacting the water-soluble package with water, wherein the package is formed by injection molding, blow molding or thermoforming the film.

2. A method according to claim 1 wherein the composition is a rinse-aid, water-softening, disinfectant, antibacterial or antiseptic composition.

3. A method according to claim 1 wherein the film is laminated to one or more further film layers.

4. A method of cleaning dishes in an automatic dishwashing machine which method comprises the steps of:

providing a water-soluble package comprising a film consisting of an ethylene oxide grafted polyvinyl alcohol enclosing a low-foaming dishwasher detergent composition to said automatic dishwashing machine, and, during operation of the automatic dishwashing machine contacting the water-soluble package with water, wherein the package is formed by injection molding, blow molding or thermoforming the film.
