Abstract

A call schedule is received that includes a plurality of sample calls to be made by an automated calling station. The plurality of sample calls are automatically placed on the network using the automated calling station. At least one final billing record corresponding to the at least one completed sample call is received. The call data is processed to determine billed cost data. The billed cost data is compared to the previous cost data and a change in the rate plan is detected based on the comparison of the billed cost data to the previous cost data.

Claims (15)

1. In a computer readable storage medium having stored therein data representing instructions executable by a programmed processor to provide a best offer with a content file, the computer readable storage medium comprising instructions for:

receiving at least one final billing record corresponding to a plurality of sample calls, the final billing record including call data for at least one completed sample call, the call data comprising first billed cost data associated with a first minute of the at least one completed sample call, second billed cost data, and third billed cost data;

processing the first billed cost data to determine an estimated first minute toll rate associated with the first minute;

processing the second billed cost data to determine an estimated additional minute toll rate; and

processing the third billed cost data to refine the estimated additional minute toll rate.

2. The computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein instructions for processing the first billed cost data comprise instructions for:

processing the first billed cost data to determine an upper bound and a lower bound on the first minute toll rate met.

3. In a computer readable storage medium having stored therein data representing instructions and data which are executable by a programmed processor, data comprising:

data defining a billing record which includes call data for at least one completed sample call completed using a specified telecommunication carrier, the call data comprising first billed cost data associated with a first minute of the at least one completed sample call, second billed cost data, and third billed cost data,

wherein the first billed cost data is processed to determine an estimated first minute toll rate associated with the first minute;

wherein the second billed cost data is processed to determine an estimated additional minute toll rate; and

wherein the third billed cost data is processed to refine the estimated additional minute toll rate.

4. The medium of claim 3 , wherein the estimated first minute toll rate comprises a first upper bound and a second lower bound, and

wherein the estimated additional minute toll rate comprises a second upper bound and a second lower bound, the second upper bound and the second lower bound being refined by processing of the third billed cost data.

5. The medium of claim 3 , wherein the data comprises processed call data formed by processing the call data for a plurality of sample calls including the at least one sample call.
