NEUROTOXIC COMPONENT OF A BOTULINUM TOXIN
A method and composition for treating a patient suffering from a disease, disorder or condition and associated pain include the administration to the patient of a therapeutically effective amount of a neurotoxin selected from a group consisting of Botulinum toxin types A, B, C, D, E, F and G.
1 . A method for reducing a cholinergic influenced secretion, said method comprising administering to a patient a therapeutically effective amount of a neurotoxic component of a botulinum toxin in order to reduce a cholinergic influenced secretion.

6 . A method for treating a smooth muscle disorder, said method comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a neurotoxic component of a botulinum toxin in order to treat a smooth muscle disorder.

22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the botulinum toxin is a botulinum toxin type A.
23 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the botulinum toxin is selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin types A, B, C, D, E, F and G.
24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the botulinum toxin is a botulinum toxin type A.
25 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the botulinum toxin is selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin types A, B, C, D, E, F and G.
26 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the botulinum toxin is a botulinum toxin type A.
27 . A neurotoxic component of a botulinum toxin for use in humans.
28 . The neurotoxic component of claim 27 , wherein the neurotoxic component has a molecular weight of about 150 kilodaltons.
29 . The neurotoxic component of claim 27 , wherein the neurotoxic component is selected from the group of consisting of botulinum toxin type A, B, C, D, E, F and G neurotoxic components.
30 . The neurotoxic component of claim 29 , wherein the neurotoxic component is the neurotoxic component of a botulinum toxin type A.
