Abstract

An interconnected ring chain comprises a first ring comprising a biologically degradable material and having a first shape and a second ring comprising a biologically degradable material and having a second shape and interconnected with the first ring such that the first and second rings are both movable and substantially inseparable relative to each other. Each ring may be solid (continuous) or non-solid (discontinuous) such that the rings may be interconnected by mechanical or non-mechanical methods. A chain may be formed from rings having the same or various shapes.

Claims (13)

1. A pet toy comprising:

a first biodegradable material;

a second biodegradable material overmolded by the first biodegradable material in a first region of the second biodegradable material;

wherein the first region comprises a key to resist separation of the first and second materials.

2. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first region comprises a distal end.

3. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first region comprises the entirety of the second biodegradable material.

4. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material and the second biodegradable material differ by one of color and flavor.

5. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the pet toy is configured as one of a bone, ball, and chicken leg.

6. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material and the second biodegradable material differ by elasticity.

7. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material is operatively elastic and the second biodegradable material is operatively inelastic.

8. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material and the second biodegradable material differ by texture.

9. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material and the second biodegradable material differ by color and texture.

10. The pet toy of claim 1 , wherein the first biodegradable material comprises an appearance of a bone and the second biodegradable material comprises an appearance of meat.
