Abstract

The invention relates to phosphorus-containing mixtures containing compounds of the formula RO—PO(A)-CH 2 —CH 2 —CO 2 H and  (I) HO—PO(A)-CH 2 —CH 2 —CO 2 R  (II) in which A is C 1 -C 18 -alkyl, C 6 -C 18 -alkylaryl, C 6 -C 18 -aralkyl or aryl, R is (D,E)C═C(B, R 5 ) or H B, D, E are identical or different and are each H or C 1 -C 18 -alkyl R 5 is —CO-alkoxy, a process for their preparation and their use.

Claims (28)

1. A mixture comprising compounds of the formula

(D,E)C═C(B)—CO—O—CH 2 —CH 2 —O—PO(A)-CH 2 —CH 2 —CO 2 H and  (I)

HO—PO(A)-CH 2 —CH 2 —CO—O—CH 2 —CH 2 —O—CO—C(B)═C(D)(E), wherein  (II)

A is methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl,

D is H or methyl,

E is H or methyl,

B is H or methyl, or

(D,E)C═C(B)—CO—O—CH 2 —CH 2 —CH 2 —O—PO(A)CH 2 —CH 2 —CO 2 H, and  (III)

HO—PO(A)-CH 2 CH 2 —CO—O—CH 2 —CH 2 —CH 2 —O—CO—C(B)═C(D)(E)  (IV).

The mixture as claimed in claim 1 comprising from 99.9 to 20% by weight of the compound of formula (I) and from 0.1 to 80% by weight of the compound of formula (II), the sum of the components always being 100% by weight or comprising from 99.9 to 20% by weight of the compound of formula (III) and from 0.1 to 80% by weight of the compound of formula (IV), the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

3. A flameproofing agent comprising a mixture as claimed in claim 1 .

4. A flameproofing composition, comprising from 99.9 to 40% by weight of a mixture as claimed in claim 1 and from 0.1 to 60% by weight of an olefin component, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

A flameproofed polymer molding material, comprising from 0.5 to 50% by weight of a mixture as claimed in claim 1 , from 1 to 99% by weight of a thermoplastic polymer or a mixture thereof, from 0 to 60% by weight of additives and from 0 to 60% by weight of a filler, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

The flameproofed polymer molding material as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the thermoplastic polymer or mixture thereof is selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, polyphenylene ether, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates and blends or polymer blends of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene.

A polymer molding, film, filament or fiber, comprising from 0.5 to 50% by weight of the mixture as claimed in claim 1 , from 1 to 99% by weight of the at least one polymer, from 0 to 60% by weight of additives and from 0 to 60% by weight of a filler, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 7 , comprising from 1 to 40% by weight of the mixture, from 1 to 99% by weight of the at least one polymer, wherein the at least one polymer is a thermosetting polymer or a mixture thereof, from 0.5 to 60% by weight of additives and from 0.5 to 60% by weight of a filler, reinforcing material or both, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

An article comprising the polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the article is selected from the group consisting of electrical switch parts, components in automotive construction, electrical engineering, electronics, circuit boards, prepregs, potting compounds for electronic components, boat and rotor blade construction, GFR outdoor applications, household and sanitary applications and engineering materials.

10. A process for preparing a flameproofing composition comprising the step of adding a mixture as claimed in claim 1 during the production of the flameproofing composition.

11. A flameproofing composition made in accordance with the process of claim 10 .

A polymer molding, film, filament or fiber comprising at from 1 to 99% by weight of at least one polymer, wherein the at least one polymer is a thermoplastic polymer, thermosetting polymer or a mixture thereof and from 0.5 to 50% by weight of a flameproofed polymer molding material as claimed in claim 5 , the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the at least one polymer is a thermoplastic polymer selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, polyphenylene ether, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates and blends or polymer blends of the acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polyimide, polyester and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene.

14. The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the at least one polymer is a thermosetting polymer selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde-, epoxy- or melamine-phenol resin polymers and polyurethanes.

The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 12 , comprising from 0.5 to 50% by weight of the mixture, from 1 to 99% by weight of the at least one polymer, from 0 to 60% by weight of additives and from 0 to 60% by weight of a filler, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 12 , comprising from 1 to 40% by weight of the mixture, from 1 to 99% by weight of the at least one polymer, wherein the at least one polymer is a thermosetting polymer or a mixture thereof, from 0.5 to 60% by weight of additives and from 0.5 to 60% by weight of a filler, reinforcing material or both, the sum of the components always being 100% by weight.

An article comprising the polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the article is selected from the group consisting of electrical switch parts, components in automotive construction, electrical engineering, electronics, circuit boards, prepregs, potting compounds for electronic components, boat and rotor blade construction, GFR outdoor applications, household and sanitary applications and engineering materials.

18. The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the at least one polymer is a thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer.

The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the at least one polymer is a thermoplastic polymer selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, polyphenylene ether, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates and blends or polymer blends of the acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polyamide, polyester and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene.

20. The polymer molding, film, filament or fiber as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the at least one polymer is a thermosetting polymer selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde-, epoxy- or melamine-phenol resin polymers and polyurethanes.
