Abstract

A display device includes an insulating substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface opposing the upper surface, a display element including a first electrode, an organic light emitting layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the organic light emitting layer, a first film connected to a first side of the upper surface, and a first circuit substrate connected to the first film and including a first surface facing the display element, a second surface opposing the first surface, and an electric element protruding from the second surface.

Claims (32)

1. A display device, comprising:

a substrate comprising an upper surface and a lower surface opposing the upper surface;

a display element arranged on the upper surface and comprising a first electrode, a light emitting layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the light emitting layer;

a first film connected to a first side of the upper surface;

a first circuit substrate connected to the first film and comprising a first surface facing the display element, a second surface opposing the first surface, and an electric element protruding from the second surface; and

an encapsulation member disposed between the display element and the first circuit substrate.

2. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first surface is substantially flat.

3. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the encapsulation member encompasses the display element.

4. The display device of claim 3 , wherein the first surface directly contacts the encapsulation member.

5. The display device of claim 3 , wherein the first circuit substrate supplies at least one of a driving signal, a driving voltage, or a common voltage to the display element.

6. The display device of claim 3 , wherein the electric element comprises at least one of a resistor or a capacitor.

7. The display device of claim 3 , further comprising a driving chip mounted on the upper surface.

8. The display device of claim 3 , further comprising a driving chip mounted on the first film.

9. The display device of claim 3 , wherein the second electrode comprises a reflective metal.

10. The display device of claim 3 , further comprising:

a second film connected to a second side of the upper surface;

a second circuit substrate connected to the second film and at least partially overlapping with the first circuit substrate; and

an insulating member arranged on at least one of the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate, the insulating member preventing the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate from directly contacting each other.

11. The display device of claim 10 , wherein the insulating member comprises an insulating tape.

12. A display device comprising:

a substrate comprising an upper surface and a lower surface opposing the upper surface;

a display element arranged on the upper surface and comprising a first electrode, a light emitting layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the light emitting layer;

a first film connected to a first side of the upper surface;

a first circuit substrate connected to the first film and facing the substrate;

a second film connected to a second side of the upper surface;

a second circuit substrate connected to the second film and at least partially overlapping with the first circuit substrate; and

an insulating member arranged between the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate, the insulating member preventing the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate from directly contacting each other.

13. The display device of claim 12 , wherein the insulating member comprises an insulating tape.

14. The display device of claim 12 , wherein the display element provides light in a direction away from the substrate, the first film and the second film are bent, and the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate face the lower surface.

15. The display device of claim 12 , wherein the display element provides light in a direction towards the substrate, the first film and the second film are bent, and the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate face the display element.

16. The display device of claim 15 , wherein the first circuit substrate comprises a first surface facing the display element, a second surface opposing the second surface, and an electric element protruding from the second surface.

17. The display device of claim 16 , wherein the first surface is substantially flat.
