Xanthohumol and tetrahydro-isoalpha acid based protein kinase modulation cancer treatment
View Patent ↗Compounds and methods for protein kinase modulation for cancer treatment are disclosed. The compounds and methods disclosed are based on xanthohumol or isoxantohumol, or tetrahydro-isoalpha acids commonly found in hops.
1. A method of treating a cancer responsive to protein kinase modulation in a mammal in need thereof, said method comprising administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a chalcone and a compound selected from the group consisting of tetrahydro-isohumulone, tetrahydro-isochumulone, and tetrahydro-isoadhumuone; wherein the cancer responsive to protein kinase modulation is selected from the group consisting of bladder, colon, lung, lymphoma, melanoma and thyroid cancer.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the chalcone is xanthohumol or isoxanthohumol.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the protein kinase modulated is selected from the group consisting of/Ab1(T315I), ALK4, Aurora-A, Bmx, BTK, CaMKI, CaMKIδ, CDK1/cyclinB, CDK2/cyclinA, CDK2/cyclinE, CDK3/cyclinE, CDK5/p35, CDK6/cyclinD3, CDK9/cyclin T1, CHK1, CHK2, CK1(y), CK1γ1, CK1γ2, CK1γ3, CK1δ, cKit(D816H), cSRC, DAPK1, DAPK2, DRAK1, EphA2, EphA8, EphB1, ErbB4, Fer, Fes, FGFR2, FGFR3, Fgr, F1t4, Fyn, GSK3β, GSK3α, Hck, HIPK2, IKKβ, IRAK1, JAK3, Lyn, MAPK1, MAPKAP-K2, MAPKAP-K3, MINK, MSK1, MSK2, MSSK1, p70S6K, PAK3, PAK5, PAK6, PhKγ2, PI3K, Pim-1, Pim-2, PKA, PKA(b), PKBβ, PKBα, PKBγ, PRAK, PrKX, Ron, Rsk1, Rsk2, SGK, SGK2, Syk, TBK1, Tie2, TrkA, TrkB, and TSSK2.
