Pharmaceutical compositions
View Patent ↗The invention provides methods to treating conditions such as prostate cancer, or for ameliorating one or more symptoms associated with prostate cancer, or for agents that modulate the biological activity of the androgen receptor. The invention also provides methods and compositions suitable for therapeutic applications.

wherein,
one of R 5 and R 6 is —OH and the other R 5 and R 6 is —H;
one of R 12 and R 13 is —OH and the other R 12 and R 13 is —H;
R 14 and R 15 are —H;
R 16 is —H;
R 17 is —H or —OH;
R 18 is —OH;
R 19 is ethynyl; and
R 24 and R 25 are —CH 3 .

11. A pharmaceutical formulation comprising one or more excipients and a compound having the structure

one of R 5 and R 6 is —OH and the other R 5 and R 6 is —H;
one of R 12 and R 13 is —OH and the other R 12 and R 13 is —H;
R 14 and R 15 are —H;
R 16 is —H;
R 17 is —H or —OH;
R 18 is —OH;
R 19 is ethynyl; and
R 24 and R 25 are —CH 3 .
12. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 11 having the structure
13. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 12 wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is for parenteral administration.
14. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 12 wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is for oral administration.
15. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 14 wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is in the form of unit dosages, optionally capsules, cachets or tablets.
16. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 12 wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is for topical, buccal or sublingual administration.
17. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 12 wherein the pharmaceutical formulation is for aerosol administration.
