Abstract

Described herein are methods and compositions that can be used for diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Claims (9)

1. A method of inhibiting proliferation of a prostate cancer-associated cell, comprising contacting the cell with an antibody that competitively inhibits binding of TMEFF2#19 to TMEFF2, wherein the antibody comprises CDR sequences present in the heavy chain variable sequence of SEQ ID NO: 26 and the light chain variable region sequence of SEQ ID NO: 34.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the antibody is an antibody fragment.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the prostate cancer cell is in a patient.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the patient is undergoing a therapeutic regimen to treat metastatic prostate cancer.

5. The method of claim 3 , wherein the patient is suspected of having metastatic prostate cancer.

6. A method of inhibiting proliferation of a prostate cancer-associated cell, comprising contacting the cell with an antibody comprising a heavy chain variable region sequence of SEQ ID NO: 22, 24, 26 or 28; and a light chain variable region sequence of SEQ ID NO: 30, 32, or 34.

7. A method of treating prostate cancer with an antibody to TMEFF2, wherein said prostate cancer is selected from the group consisting of a primary prostate cancer, prostate cancer that has been treated with neoadjuvant therapy, and prostate cancer that is refractory to treatment with neoadjuvant therapy, wherein the antibody comprises CDR sequences present in the heavy chain variable region sequence of SEQ ID NO: 26 and the light chain variable region sequence of SEQ ID NO: 34.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the antibody comprises SEQ ID NOS: 26 and 34.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the antibody comprises SEQ ID NOS: 26 and 34.
