Abstract

Compounds useful for the treatment of various metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance syndrome, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver disease, cachexia, obesity, atherosclerosis and arteriosclerosis, are disclosed.

Claims (4)

1. A compound of the formula:

wherein m is 1; n is 1 or 2; t is 0 or 1; and

A is phenyl substituted by 2 groups selected from: alkyl having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, perfluoromethyl, and perfluoromethoxy; and —(CH 2 ) m —CO 2 H is in the meta position.

2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 1; t is 0; and A is phenyl substituted by two alkyl groups having 1 or 2 carbon atoms.
