Abstract

The invention provides a battery, which can improve battery characteristics such as high temperature storage characteristics. The battery comprises a battery device, wherein a cathode and an anode are wound with a separator in between. The anode contains an anode material capable of inserting and extracting Li as an anode active material. An electrolytic solution is impregnated in the separator. The electrolytic solution contains a solvent, and an electrolyte salt such as Li[B(CF 3 ) 4 ] dissolved in the solvent, which is expressed by a chemical formula of Li[B(RF1)(RF2)(RF3)RF4]. RF1, RF2, RF3, and RF4 represent a perfluoro alkyl group whose number of fluorine or carbon is from 1 to 12, respectively. Consequently, high temperature storage characteristics are improved.

Claims (17)

1. A battery comprising:

a cathode;

4. The battery according to claim 1 , wherein a moisture content ratio in the liquid electrolyte is 100 ppm or less per the electrolyte mass.

5. The battery according to claim 1 wherein on an interface directly between the anode active material layer and the anode current collector component elements of the anode current collector are diffused into the anode active material layer, component elements of the anode active material are diffused into the anode current collector, or component elements of both the anode current collector and the anode active material layer are diffused into each other.

6. The battery according to claim 1 wherein the anode active material layer comprises simple substances, alloys, or compounds in Group 14 and a binder, the anode active material layer being a thin film formed by at least one method from the group consisting of gas phase method, liquid phase method and sinter method.

7. The battery according to claim 1 wherein the anode includes a material capable of precipitating the lithium on a surface thereof during a charge.

8. The battery according to claim 1 , wherein a capacity of the anode expressed by the sum of (a) a capacity component by insertion and extraction of lithium and (b) a capacity component by precipitation and dissolution of a lithium.

9. The battery according to claim 1 wherein a capacity of the anode is expressed in part by a capacity component by precipitation and dissolution of a lithium.
