Abstract

An online test platform facilitates automatic scrolling of test materials in a web browser while maintaining a text prompt associated with the test materials. The platform also facilitates development, delivery, and management of educational tests with interactive participation by students, teachers, proctors, and administrators even when some or all of them are remotely located. The platform may include administrator interfaces, test proctor interfaces, and test taker (e.g. student) interfaces to allow each participant to view, navigate, and interact with aspects of the online test platform that are intended to meet their needs.

Claims (46)

1. A method comprising:

associating at least one test taker's name with login information for the at least one test taker for accessing an online testing platform;

logging the at least one test taker onto the online testing platform;

presenting the at least one test taker's name and login information within an online test proctoring interface;

aggregating a plurality of test taker's names and their associated login information based at least in part on a status; and

enabling a print functionality adapted to print information relating to the plurality of test taker's names and their associated login information.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the login information includes a username.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the login information includes a password.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the print functionality is initiated using an action button.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the action button prints an entire list of names and their associated login information.

6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the action button prints a subset of names and their associated login information from a list.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the print functionality comprises selecting a checkbox that is associated with a test taker and selecting a print action button.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the print functionality comprises printing a single test taker's login information to a single piece of paper.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the print functionality initiates a printing that is local to the proctor.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the print functionality initiates a printing that is remote from the proctor.

11. A method comprising:

providing at least one test station at a remote network;

polling, from a first server on a local network, the at least one test station on the remote network to retrieve information relating to at least one test taker;

storing, from the first server on the local network, to a network file server, the information relating to the at least one test taker;

polling the at least one test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, to determine that a test session communication has been interrupted;

polling the at least one test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, after determining the test session communication has been interrupted, to determine that the test session communication has been reestablished;

polling the at least one test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, after determining that the test session communication has been reestablished, to determine whether a test session at the test station on the remote network has resumed with a second server;

exchanging information about the test station between the first server on the local network and the second server;

switching the test session at the test station on the remote network back over to the first server on the local network, after determining that the test session at the test station on the remote network has resumed with the second server, wherein the switching is based upon the information about the test station;

associating the at least one test taker's name with login information for the at least one test taker for accessing an online testing platform;

logging the at least one test taker onto the online testing platform;

presenting the at least one test taker's name and login information within an online test proctoring interface;

aggregating a plurality of test taker's names and their associated login information based at least in part on a status; and

enabling a print functionality adapted to print information relating to the plurality of test takers' names and their associated login information.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the login information includes a username.

13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the login information includes a password.

14. The method of claim 11 , wherein the print functionality is initiated using an action button.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the action button prints an entire list of names and their associated login information, or a subset of the list of names and their associated login information.

16. A method comprising:

verifying that a computing facility has a correct configuration in order to communicate with an online educational testing platform;

initiating an installation protocol on the computing facility to enable the computing facility to communicate with the online educational testing platform upon verification that the computing facility lacks the correct configuration;

preventing applications other than an educational testing application to be operable during an educational test session;

associating at least one test taker's name with login information for the at least one test taker for accessing the online educational testing platform;

logging the at least one test taker onto the online educational testing platform;

presenting the at least one test taker's name and login information within an online test proctoring interface;

aggregating a plurality of test taker's names and their associated login information based at least in part on a status; and

enabling a print functionality adapted to print information relating to the plurality of test takers' names and their associated login information.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the print functionality comprises selecting a checkbox that is associated with a test taker and selecting a print action button.

18. The method of claim 16 , wherein the print functionality comprises printing a single test taker's login information to a single piece of paper.

19. The method of claim 16 , wherein the print functionality initiates a printing that is local to the proctor.

20. The method of claim 16 , wherein the print functionality initiates a printing that is remote from the proctor.
