METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DE-CONVOLUTING A CONVOLUTED SPECTRUM
Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods, systems, and apparatus suitable for performing a survey scan of one or more analytes or labeled fragments of analytes to obtain a convoluted spectrum and to de-convolute the convoluted spectrum using, for example, a mass spectrometer and associated processing system.
1 . A method for determining the relative amounts of a first and second sample comprising,
receiving mass spectrometry data comprising,
a first data representing a first quantity of a first analyte associated with a first sample from a first sample pool, and
a second data representing a second quantity of a second analyte associated with a second sample from a second sample pool
wherein the first and second analyte are each composed of a common first sub-analyte, and
the first analyte has a first isotopic label and the second analyte has a second isotopic label,
computing a ratio of the first and second data, and
reporting the ratio to a user.
