Online test polling
View Patent ↗An aspect of the present invention relates to an online test platform adapted to facilitate the development, delivery, and management of educational tests with interactive participation by students, teachers, proctors, and administrators even when some or all of them are remotely located. The platform may include administrator interfaces, test proctor interfaces, and test taker (e.g. student) interfaces to allow each participant to view, navigate, and interact with aspects of the online test platform that are intended to meet their needs.
1. A memory containing computer executable code that, when executing on one or more computing devices, performs the following steps:
using a computer, determining a test-taker accommodation based at least in part on polling a web browser of a test taker to identify one or more test-taker characteristics from the group consisting of: a user profile, a testing metadata, a user preference, a user request, and practice question response:
receiving a test request:
in response to the test request, compiling test content using the test-taker accommodation;
transmitting the test content to the test taker; and
after transmitting, polling the web browser during the progress of a test and updating the test content by providing updated compiled test content based on the polling.
2. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a font size.
3. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes an extended time.
4. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the updated test content includes a virtual assistant.
5. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a different image.
6. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes an audio content.
7. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a volume setting.
8. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a display brightness setting.
9. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a different language.
10. The memory of claim 1 , wherein the test content includes a calculator.
11. A system comprising:
a web browser that renders test content; and
an online testing platform that polls the web browser, while the web browser is providing the test content, to identify one or more test-taker characteristics from the group consisting of: a user profile, a testing metadata, a user preference, a user request, and practice question response, wherein
the online testing platform updates the test content by providing updated compiled test content based on the polling, wherein the updated compiled test content is compiled in response to identifying the one or more test-taker characteristics.
12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes font size.
13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes an extension time.
14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes a virtual assistant.
15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes a different image.
16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes an audio content.
17. The system of claim 11 , wherein the test content includes a volume setting.
