System and a method for carrying out personal and business transactions
The present invention relates to a system and a method for carrying out personal transactions including financial transactions, e-mail transactions, and voice messaging transactions. A user of the system is issued a ten digit identification number in the form of a telephone number. The identification number may be the user's actual phone number or a pseudo phone number. The user is also assigned a PIN number which contains a single or multiple digit security element which allows the user to indicate a security problem and its nature by dialing the assigned PIN number and which allows the user to avoid tripping the security elements of the system by using a digit or digits other than that/those assigned as the significantly placed digit(s) in the PIN number. Access to the system is provided either by dialing a central telephone number or via the Internet.

98 . A system for enabling a voice communication to be received by a deaf person comprising:
means for receiving said voice communication located at a first location;
means for transmitting said voice communication to an operator located at a second location remote from said first location;
means at said second location for enabling said operator to convert said voice communication to at least one of a text message and a sign language video message;
means for transmitting said at least one of a text message and a sign language video message to at least one of said first location and an intended recipient location; and
said receiving means at said first location further comprising means for transmitting said message to said deaf person.
99 . The system according to claim 98 , further comprising at least one of a computer, a wireless mobile apparatus, and a TTY used by said deaf person to receive said message.

The system according to claim 98 , wherein said converting means at said location comprises an electronic device for enabling said operator to input said communication in at least one of text form and sign language video form to a TTY modem, a text modem, a video enabling modem and other enabling means.
101 . A system according to claim 100 , wherein said receiving means includes at least one modem for receiving said message from said second location.
102 . A system according to claim 101 , wherein said receiving means further includes a PBX connected to said at least one modem.

122 . The system according to claim 98 , further comprising means for said deaf person to receive said message in sign language form.
123 . The system according to claim 98 , wherein said means for enabling said operator to convert said voice communication to at least one of a text message and a sign language message comprises electronic equipment which places the voice communication into message form.
124 . The system according to claim 98 , wherein said means for enabling said operator to convert said voice communication to at least one of a text message and a sign language message comprises a camera for capturing images of an operator signing the message.
125 . The system according to claim 124 , wherein said operator receives a response in a non-voice form from said deaf person and converts said response to voice and means for transmitting said response in voice form to said hearing person.
