Abstract

The invention concerns a remote management method enabling a distant remote management server to manage at least a distant device. In order to have a simple and reliable management, it comprises a transmission step of a CWMP command requesting a configuration of the transport and/or dejittering layers.

Claims (10)

1. Remote management method for management of at least one distant audio/video device, said method being implemented by a distant remote management server, said method comprising

a reception step of statistical data from said at least one distant audio/video device, allowing to detect a nature of a problem encountered by said at least one distant audio/video device, said statistical data being received after transmission of a Customer Premises Equipment Wide Area Network Management Protocol (CWMP) command of a request for statistical data,

a transmission step performed by the distant remote management server of a CWMP command to said at least one distant audio/video device, requesting a configuration of RTP transport dejittering or video dejittering related parameters of said at least one distant device,

a transmission step of a CWMP command to said at least one distant audio/video device, requesting a retrieval of statistical data from said at least one distant audio/video device, said statistical data allowing to check if said configuration has solved said problem encountered.

2. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises an enable or disable of RTP dejittering in the at least a distant audio/video device.

3. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises an enable or disable of video stream dejittering in the at least a distant audio/video device.

4. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises an initial level of at least one buffer in the at least distant audio/video device.

5. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises a clock recovery setting of the at least a distant audio/video device.

6. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises a configuration of jittering alarm triggered by the at least a distant audio/video device.

7. Method according to claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises a configuration of the priority of the IGMP traffic issued from the at least a distant audio/video device.
