Method for producing a package and packaging machine

Forming of a container ( 13 ) in a web of a first web material ( 7 ); subsequent sealing of a cover ( 14 ) onto the container produced within an outer contour of the package to be produced; and thereafter cutting of the container ( 13 ) out of the first web material ( 7 ) along the outer contour of the package to be produced and outside of an outer contour of the cover ( 14 ) sealed thereon.
1. A method for producing a package comprising:
forming a container in a web of a first web material;
subsequent sealing of a cover onto the container produced so that the cover is provided within an outer contour of the package to be produced; and
subsequent separation of the container out of the first web material along the outer contour of the package to be produced and outside an outer contour of the cover sealed thereon;
wherein the method is carried out such that the cover is sealed to the container along a sealing seam, and such that the container has a downwardly extending edge portion disposed outside the sealing seam after separation of the container out of the first web material, and wherein the cover is cut out of a web of a second web material before the sealing, wherein the forming and separation of the container take place in such a manner that the container includes a horizontal edge portion that extends outwardly beyond the downwardly extending edge portion, and wherein the cover includes a projecting edge that extends over the horizontal edge portion.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein forming the container comprises deep drawing the first web material.
3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein during the separation of the container out of the first web material, the cover is not cut through.
4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the edge portion extends substantially vertically.
5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the cover is cut to size prior to the sealing.
6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein cutting of the cover out of the second web material and the sealing of the cover take place in one working station.
7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the forming and separation of the container take place in such a way that the produced package has a substantially U-shaped edge, and wherein the downwardly extending edge portion defines part of the U-shaped edge.
8. The method according to claim 1 , wherein after the forming of the container and before the sealing of the cover a filling of the container takes place.
9. A method for producing packages, the method comprising:
forming containers in a first web material such that each container has a downwardly extending circumferential edge portion;
sealing covers onto the containers so that an outer contour of each cover ends before an outer contour of a corresponding package to be produced; and
separating each container out of the first web material along the outer contour of the corresponding package to be produced and outside the outer contour of the corresponding cover sealed thereon;
wherein the method is carried out such that each cover is not connected to covers sealed onto neighboring containers after the sealing step and before the separating step, and wherein the method is further carried out such that each container includes a horizontal edge portion that extends outwardly beyond the downwardly extending edge portion, and each cover includes a projecting edge that extends over the horizontal edge portion of a respective container.
10. The method of claim 9 wherein each cover is sealed to a respective container along a sealing seam, and the downwardly extending circumferential edge portion of the respective container defines an outer surface disposed outside the sealing seam after separating the respective container out of the first web material.
